About
North Texas Trauma Recovery Services, PLLC is a therapy practice led by Dr. Tara Saia Lewis, a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma and PTSD treatment. The practice serves adults and adolescents, including veterans and civilians, who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, sleep problems, and other mental health challenges. Dr. Lewis brings more than 20 years of professional experience, including two decades working with veterans at the VA before establishing her private practice.
Dr. Lewis uses a flexible, tailored approach to treatment, recognizing that different patients benefit from different techniques. She views therapy as a collaborative partnership where patients work with her as a team to move beyond their past and build the skills needed to manage their lives independently. Her goal is to help patients achieve lasting improvement so they eventually no longer need regular therapy sessions. She offers both individual and group therapy sessions and provides telehealth appointments for added accessibility.

- Individual and group psychotherapy sessions of varying lengths
- Trauma-focused and cognitive behavioral therapies including EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Treatment for PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, nightmares, insomnia, depression, and suicidal ideation
- Specialized services for military and veteran issues, abuse survivors, and women's issues
- Coping skills training, mindfulness instruction, anger management, and stress reduction techniques
